I’ve been busy – mainly as a result of a little FB advertising but also because I put quite a bit of effort into preparing for The Handknitters Guild Market. Just as well because I clearly did not have enough stock for this! My place for next year is by no means certain… but I’m going to have to prepare much further in advance.
Ujicha is my beautiful new Japanese base. It’s a pure Tussah silk with an unbelievable halo… just absolutely divine. I’ve been dyeing it up in some of my favourite colour ways and I’m definitely in love!
I’ve had a busy month… firstly getting my Collection 1 for 2017 wound, photographed and uploaded and then secondly when I decided to do a Free Shipping Sale with the purchase of a Red or Pink yarn to celebrate the love of Valentines. It’s been a run away success and since the launch of the sale on February 14th I’ve been busy dyeing! So, no wonder my musings here (and other pursuits) have been neglected.
I still have a few days to go – It ends on Feb 28th. So there’s still time to take advantage of the Free shipping 🙂
It’s the start of a brand new year and I’m feeling hopeful it will bring love, laughter and wonderful memories…
2016 brought some wonderful times for me – filled with travels, colour and love. I couldn’t ask for a better life.
I recently had to go to the UK in rather unhappy circumstances… I closed my Etsy shop and worked hard to get those outstanding orders out the door. I’m now back and attempting to pick up where I left off, and in my absence my wonderful husband converted the dilapidated workshop behind the garage into my shiny (well not that shiny) new Dye Studio! He used recycled wood and salvaged stuff wherever he could and hey presto! There it was on my return!
Yesterday I used it for the first time – radio on, and the sun shining in (he even put up blinds in case the sun got too hot)! More of what I dyed up coming soon.
I love it and anticipate many happy hours out there. Thank you Mr. Wonderful!
One of the reasons I love commissions is that they can take you in a totally different direction than you would choose for yourself… But one that you find enjoyable and in this case happy! A Sunny Happy yellow.
